Rain Rain Go Away

It was a rainy day. From a depressing grey drizzles, it began to pour buckets of torrential rains. A little boy was walking very fast. Alone. The big bulky grey bag did not slow him down, but the raindrops falling one by one on his shoulder did. He stopped in the middle of the road, looked high up the sky with his tiny hazel eyes closed. It was raining.

The siren of an ambulance woke him up, from that little mind that nostalgically went back to those days, when he was counting the raindrops with her. Then he started to run. The weight of I'm sorry is a little too much of a burden for him.

The boy was wet from his head to toes when he reached the classroom. Water dropping on his white shoes that does not look white at all, as if that could help to wash away the dirt. His teacher lifted up her right eyebrow more than usual and the other kids were making fun of him. "I am sorry," he said.

The rain stopped when the lessons were almost finish. There was a hole at the top right corner of his bag. Within a second he took out a note book from the bag, despite the teacher has not announced the end for that day. There was an angel on the cover page of that baby blue note book. Time froze, the boy froze. Drops of tears flooded his eyes, fallen on his shirt that was drenched in the rain. He left the photo on his table when he tried to wipe off the tears before anyone else can see. It was a photo of a mother smiling when her baby boy walked towards her. It was torn and wet.

The journey back home seems to be heavier, with a torn photo. Soon, he reached a wooden house. He left his school bag on a bench and walked towards the sunflowers in the backyard. He said "It's ok." It's ok even if the photo is torn out. At least he still has his sunflowers with him.

He looked up the sky and knew that they will meet again. When the sunflowers reaches the sky.
