Ox.

Not being at the right place at the right time, with the dearest people, winter trip posts are being delayed.

Since when chinese new year becomes so cold, I wonder. We do need to sacrifice something to become successful, don't we? Can you imagine the feeling of missing something that you are really used to it? I thought boys and girls always use this method to add on the feeling towards each other in a relationship. It is more likely the same.

Walking on the street to class, people walking towards me, walking away from me, a car stopped for me, a bus zoomed pass me, I really miss the feeling of celebrating chinese new year at home. Another 4 years maybe? We would travel to Klang and KL for our new year clothings a month ago. A mom flipping the clothes rack on one side, and keeping eyes on the four kids that are scattered around, in the changing room playing knock knock, hidding among racks, or standing tip toe in front of the toy shop. Chinese New Year is somehow merrier when I was still young and gets bored when we grow up and rather stay in an air-conditional room. Pots and flowers tied with red and pink ribbons, ang pao packets stapled on the leaves, our paintings and calligraph pasted on the wall, waking up early in the morning, sitting down quietly while choosing stickers for mm to stick them on before we pierced our ears, hidding behind grandpa when the lion danced towards me, four of us sitting in the living room, playing pokers with sugus, having brunch, wanting to leave the house to cycle around and visit the neighbourhood with friends, going to ah ma's house, queuing up with the cousins for ang pao, and taking our family photos. Whether or not did I celebrate it to the max, whether or not the chinesy atmosphere was spread throughout the air, it is still never going to be the same, to be standing here, or sitting in the lecture hall, in this very special occasion.

The last chinese new year I spent at home and the theme was white that year.
The sky was blue. Did you take the clouds away for me? I saw one hanging on the east. Not moving.

We were invited to kien and esmond's house for a steamboat/potluck dinner.
Thanks to them for the steamboat and mandarin orange.

pineapple tarts and cookies and ba gua from singapore.

Emm, okay I didn't eat all these. There were 14 of us. 4 guys, 10 girls.

Sweet and sour pork by the rise.

Fried noodles by the fusillians (I joined in here!)

Fried chicken with 2 sauces-honey and garlic by wai onn.

glutenous rice by esmond.
.............................................................
ah ren had steamboat. duo-yan had steamboat. 5D1'05 probably had steamboat too! So do I~

*cdy, your favourite eh?*

FISHBALL.
me, jiahang, kristina and bernice.

yy, jolynn, meihui and elaine.

and that was a smile for FISHBALL.

yongxin came late after working. i don't know why fiona smile like that either.

jolynn and her imaginary jelly.

Really thanks to esmond and kien for the dinner, had lots of things that we missed out for the time being. Maybe that's why bern was trying not to waste food eh?
.......................................................................
We had our traditional chinese new year eve reunion dinner yesterday at mama's restaurant.
Food was late and my stomach almost gotten a hole for new year.
*pp, this song is specially for you!*

prawn, crabstick, squid with tofu.
prawn with pepper.

mushroom and veggie.
pardon me, but i'm bad in naming the food.

pork and yam. nooo, this is not pork and yam! this is duck! Oops there isn't a picture for that. We were just TOO hungry waiting for 3 pairs of chopsticks and bowls and rice.

steam fishhhhhhh.

brinjal that tasted like fried banana/cempedak.

Chicken that came late. And ba gua from jonathan.
Actually bernice and I were suppose to sort of "organize" the dinner but abraham and sophie ended up doing it. They ordered 8 dishes for each room. Huat ahh! Our room has the most people. 12 girls. I guess cny is all about togetherness and happiness right?

Don't stop me. I'm not going on diet on the first day kay... Jolynn bought us icecream :)

room 1.

room 2.

room 3.

If you are constantly reading my blog, and able to recognise all my friends, I'll give you a big clap.
yongxin, jia hang, fiona, me, yy.

hahaaa.. pengwei eating his bagua with chopsticks. grace and wenyen were at the back.

I'm shy to ask someone to take a full length photo of myself, wearing my new year clothes since I am not photogenic anyway. Please don't bother yourself with the background of the picture :)

Can I copy and paste picture of you and you and you into my picture so that it won't be too empty?
....................................................
Happy chinese new year, peeps. Don't worry about me. I was and am always surrounded by people that I care and cares about me, and on a special festival like this, just let the cloud cover me for a moment. Just a moment.
p.s: I like seeing myself smiling in the pictures. Perhaps I should smile more often?
