i AMsterdam

“Too often we focus on fixing our weaknesses and forget about intensifying our strengths. After all, it is your strengths that you rely upon in order to win.”

If dublin is famous with her unpredictable weather, then amsterdam would be famous with the huge difference between day and night, and I like it when the big sun is hanging high up there.

I'm having monday morning blue today after a
very interesting and relaxing weekend trip so this post is going to be short of words.

We landed at Eindhoven on the sunny friday afternoon and took a 2 hours bus ride to Amsterdam. Because we shouldn't be sneaking people into the six-beded hostel room, Bernice and I stayed in a nearby double bed room. And we found ways to wake up in the morning HAHA. We spend our friday night in the red light district and Saturday in Keukenhof. Sunday walking around the streets and didn't have time to visit Anne Frank house because we have to catch the bus to the airport. Flight coming home was delayed because a bird was playing hide and seek in the left wing of the plane.

It was a trip of 6 girls and 2 boys.

Dublin airport, before departure.

On the way to amsterdam, I fell in love with the unique design of buildings and houses along the canals at first sight.

I like the way where numerous canals cross with each other, and rectangular wooden houses on the canals, trees with long long branches, falling leaves, pink bicycles beside empty staircase, cat that was stuck in an icecream shop, sunglasses and vanilla icecream, fries with mayo, curry sauce and cheese and the other 7 people who travelled along.

Shops with dutch clogs and cannabis, windmill keychains and magic mushrooms.

Tim says tag this as the effect of magic mushrooms.

One of the many canals.

The only pathetic socket in our hostel room.

Waiting for the other 6 people on Saturday morning.
I like the weather.

On the way to Keukenhof.
We have to take the train to Laden, then take a bus to Keukenhof and transportation in Amsterdam is very expensive.

The two guys that don't like to take picture.

It was the first time I've seen so many flowers and actually like them very much ( am not really a flower person). But I wonder since when did pink turn out to be my favourite colour.

The biggest flower garden in the whole world.

Indonesian food for dinner.

Long queue outside Anne-Frank House so we didn't go in.

Anne Frank.

Waiting for the bus to Eindhoven airport.
